FAQ for Psychospiritual Therapy

Do I have to have spiritual beliefs or be religious to benefit from this form of treatment?

No, there is no requirement to have any specific religious or spiritual beliefs, just an openness to understanding and wanting to explore something larger than the self. What that is, is entirely up to you and what you are guided to. It could be religion, nature, energy, crystals, etc., The options are limitless and self-created, but facilitated. This is one part of an overall psychotherapeutic treatment method.

How long should I stay in therapy?

The length of a treatment episode is specific to each individual. We are always working together to assess progress and road blocks and adjusting treatment accordingly. In general weekly or biweekly sessions are recommended. It is determined by discussion with you, and assessed need.

What should I expect from therapy?

Psychotherapy is work, but good work, sometimes fun work, sometimes painful and challenging work, but always insightful work. The important thing to remember is that therapy of any kind is your investment in yourself, and your dedication and willingness to make changes in your life for the better. No one but you can do that for you. As a therapeutic coach it is my job to help facilitate any fears or obstacles you may be experiencing. As your therapeutic coach I help you face the hard things that continue to show up in your life, and explore ways that you can make changes that will move you forward.

What is the cancelation policy?

There is a $80 cancelation fee for any appointment missed or cancelled less than 24 hours in advance. The only exception to this policy is in the event of a birth or death of an immediate family member. It is up to the clinician’s discretion to make any other exceptions. The policy is strictly adhered to, and a new appointment will not be booked until the fee has been paid. Remember when you book an appointment you are reserving a professional time slot allotted for the rendering of a therapeutic service.

What times do you have available for appointments?

My office hours are Monday through Thursday times vary based on availability. Please contact me to inquire. The convenience of telehealth offers more flexibility for clients to arrange their schedules to accommodate the hour appointment.

Is there out of office coverage?

No, there is no out of office coverage or emergency services. You are directed to go to the closest emergency room if you are having a psychiatric emergency and feel unsafe. Phone calls and texts will be answered as quickly as possible, usually within 24 hours. If a communication requiring a response is left on a Friday you will be contacted on Monday. I am a mandated reporter which dictates that if a client is of danger to self or others or a child under the age of 18 is endangered, I have a duty to warn. The appropriate authorities will be contacted to ensure the safety of all parties involved as per the code of federal regulations and state mandates.

FAQs for Past Life Regression

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of extreme and deep relaxation wherein the person is fully aware and able to respond to stimuli, but is in a state of relaxed altered consciousness. Much like we go through levels of consciousness when we fall asleep hypnosis allows our brains to relax and allow the subconscious mind to express itself.

Who can be hypnotized?

Anyone has the potential to be hypnotized, as all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. It is your own mind that allows you to sink into that place of deep relaxation. Prior to scheduling a session we will have a phone conversation talking more about the process. I utilize two different types of hypnosis, either rapid induction or progressive relaxation.

Do I remember what happened while I was hypnotized?

You are completely conscious when you are hypnotized, but are in a state of relaxation. You are in control of your body and you voice at all times. Most people remember in detail everything that they experience while in hypnosis, and only in vary rare cases when someone is able to go to a level so deep that they will have some mild amnesia, however this is very uncommon.

How will I experience my past lives?

People experience their past lives in different ways. Some experience it through their senses, some of their senses or all of their senses. Some people have a deep sense innate understanding or knowing of what is, what we would call a feeling. Regardless of how you experience the past life, the potential for healing will take place. There is no way to know if you will experience a past life until we try it, and see where your soul is ready to go.

What if there is a trauma in the past life?

There is always the potential that you will experience or observe in some manner the traumas that could have occurred in the past life, however you will be guided through it safely by my instruction, to facilitate resolution and peace around it. As a trained trauma therapist, with 16 years psychotherapeutic experience, I am equipped to navigate any memories or sensations that may arise while under hypnosis.

Do I have to believe in this for it to work?

Not necessarily, however it is important to ask yourself what led you to want to do it. Usually there is a part of you that has belief in the potential for healing through this modality. Certainly a spiritual and connected belief system can only enhance any experience doing PLRT. At the very least you will have the opportunity to know yourself better and on a deeper level, realizing that we are all divinely connected.

Do I need more than one session?

One session is the norm, and most people find it to provide them with what they were looking for. People will come back for a follow up session at a later time when they are interested in further exploration, or want deeper insight to build on what they got from the initial session. Healing can sometimes happen instantly, or over time, it all depends on what your subconscious mind is able and wanting to process. There are no guarantees as to outcome, as everyone’s healing path is unique to them. However, most people experience some level of healing from the experience.

What is IET?

Integrative Energy Therapy is a form of energy healing developed by Stevan J. Thayer a renowned Reikie master and energy healer. It is a healing process that utilizes the cellular memory map and integration points which support the clearing of energy blockages that result from deeply suppressed cellular memory. IET provides a gentle way to open the flow of vital life force in the body and energy field by integrating suppressed emotions stored in the cellular memory complex and supporting the freeing of the blockages.
